Pervin Shahin was a junior exhibitioner at the Royal College of Music and became a member of the National Youth Orchestra. She studied full time at the Royal College of Music, winning the harp prize and receiving a stipendium for further study under Marisa Robles. Since then she has freelanced both as a soloist, orchestral player and ensemble player throughout the world.

In England Pervin has made numerous recordings, played with the leading London orchestras and performed at the Edinburgh Festival as a soloist. In Sweden she took part in the Summer Music Festival, was given her own radio programme and was invited by the British Ambassador to give a special performance for Queen Sylvia of Sweden. She has recently appeared as a soloist in the Dubai Arts Festival and is currently a member of the Divertimento String Ensemble and Panache flute/violin and harp duo.
